Original lithograph in black ink. 1951. Extremely rare trial proof impression (unsigned) for an un-issued lithograph. Only one other impression is known (that impression signed). Drawn by Giacometti for the album: 'Présence de Ramuz' to be published by La Guilde du Livre Lausanne in 1951 but not editioned or issued. (Another version of the portrait was issued).
Note: To be included in the forthcoming new catalogue of Giacometti's prints in preparation by Galerie Kornfeld. (Not known to Lust).

Very fine strong proof impression. On cream wove paper.
Excellent condition (never mounted). Full margins as printed. Sheet: 11 x 9ins (280x228mm). Image: 9 7/8 x 7ins. (250x178mm
